Health is not merely the absents of disease or injury. It is a condition in which the mind and body can maintain a balanced state that is able to withstand adversity, be the challenge physical or emotional. When one achieves such a state, it is easy to maintain vigour, emotional stability, and an inner sense of well being. In such a state, one can more easily avoid injury or recover from illness, aging does not mean failing health and one is less susceptible to colds, flus and other common contagious diseases. In short, there is an increase in longevity and the general quality of life.
In my practice I endeavour to assist my patients to achieve or maintain this balance through collaborative patient-centred effort that may include acupuncture, herbal formulas, dietary recommendations, remedial exercises (qi gong and tai chi), hypnotherapy and/or laser therapy-
